"PM at 45?": Congress takes a jibe at Sachin Pilot's rebellion

New Delhi : Taking a dig at Sachin Pilot over his decision to go against the Congress party, veteran leader Margaret Alva posted a question asking why was he in so much hurry? Was he aspiring to become Prime Minister at the age of 45 by joining BJP?

The former Union Minister also slammed Sachin Pilot for the timing of his rebellion. At a time when the country is fighting with COVID-19 and China on the borders, he is focused on becoming the Chief Minister of Rajasthan.

"Congress formed a majority government in Rajasthan and Sachin Pilot became his (Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's) deputy. He got four important portfolios also, as well as the post of PCC (state Congress unit) chief," Ms Alva told PTI Bhasha in an interview.

"Where did you want to reach in such a hurry? Whether you wanted to become chief minister at 43 and prime minister at 45 by joining the BJP," the former Rajasthan governor asked of 42-year-old Sachin Pilot.

The remarks came in regards to the demands Sachin Pilot made during his rebel act. He demanded the CM post from the party as a cost to return.
