Political parties planning assassination on me: Mamata Banerjee
Kolkata : West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made shocking allegations on political parties by saying that they are planning an assassination on her. "But I'm not scared," the Trinamool Congress president said, declaring that she had already readied her "political will" on who should lead the party in her absence.
Ms Banerjee made these shocking revelations during an interview to a local news channel "Zee 24 Ghanta".
63-year-old leader also claimed that people who want to assassinate her have also 'recced' her house.
"I have the information. I am in administration. Investigation is on," she said, pointing that the police had advised her to shift out to a secure government bungalow.
"Some political parties - I am not naming them - are trying to get me killed. They have given a supari (contract) to kill me... they have even paid the money," the chief minister said on Friday evening.
Though she assured her plans and said that she has already decided upon who will run the party in her absence.
"In my absence, who will run my party, who will run the government, that's all written down. I have an emergency plan in place," the chief minister said.
