Ayushman Bharat Scheme Now Available at MatCare Hospital, Varanasi

Varanasi : MatCare Maternity & Child Hospital announced the launch of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme at it Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh under which eligible patients can avail free admission, PICU and NICU care for newborns. The initiative reflects MatCare's continued commitment to making specialised newborn care more accessible to families across the region.

The occasion was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Dayashankar Mishra (Dyalu), Ayush Khadya Suraksha and Aushadhi Prashasan Rajya Mantri, Uttar Pradesh Sarkar, whose presence lent warmth and significance to the occasion. The event was also attended by Dr. R. V. Singh, Medical Superintendent, MatCare, Varanasi; Dr. Sunil Yadav, Centre Head, MatCare Varanasi; Dr. Nimisha Singh, Head Paediatrics, MatCare Varanasi; and Dr. Abhijeet Roy, Head Neonatology, MatCare Varanasi.

With this initiative, eligible patients in Varanasi will be able to access MatCare's PICU and  NICU facilities and specialist-led neonatal care at no cost. The initiative extends support to families who may otherwise find such care difficult to afford, while supporting MatCare's continued focus on safe, timely, and compassionate care for every child.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Dr. Dayashankar Mishra (Dyalu) said, “MatCare has always worked to bring quality care closer to the people who need it most, and it is truly meaningful to see this scheme launched here in Varanasi. It means specialised PICU and NICU care is now within reach for families across this region, a step that will make a real difference for many in the years to come. Every newborn, no matter their family's circumstances, deserves the safest, most attentive start to life.”

Our Level III NICU provides specialised care for premature, critically ill, and high-risk newborns, and with this scheme now in place, we can extend this care to more families across Varanasi.”
