New Delhi : With Prime Minister Narendra Modi vaccination (first shot of the COVAXIN by Bharat Biotech) on Monday at AIIMS (Delhi), coronavirus vaccine phase 2 has begun in India. People with an age over 60 years and above 45 years with co-morbidities will be administered the doses.

In the first phase, healthcare workers and frontline workers were given the medication against coronavirus. Here is how eligible people can register themselves for the second phase of the world's biggest coronavirus vaccination programme.

Registration will open at 9 am and citizens will be able to register, book an appointment for vaccination, anytime and anywhere, using the Co-WIN 2.0 app. A user guide for registration and appointment at coronavirus centres has also been uploaded on the official websites of the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and the National Health Authority (NHA).

Currently, people in India are required to take two doses of the coronavirus vaccine to attain complete immunity against the COVID-19. PM Narendra Modi took the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine on Monday. He will be administered the second dose after two weeks.
