MP cop Daulatram Jogawat lost 15 kg in a month, resumes duty

New Delhi : Daulatram Jogawat, the Madhya Pradesh cop who was criticised by author Shobhaa De, is now a lean man.
The MP cop underwent bariatric surgery at Saifee Hospital in Mumbai after which he has shed about 15-kg in a month and have also resumed duty and recovering fast.
Jogawat, who weighed about 182-kg before the surgery, is now 165 kg.
Dr Muffazal Lakdawala, who performed a Laparoscopic Banded Roux en Y Gastric Bypass surgery on Jogawat on a pro bono basis, exuded confidence that the Neemuch-based police inspector will soon touch the 100-kg mark within a year.
Jogawat had to face embarrassment after De posted his photograph with the caption, ‘heavy police bandobast in Mumbai today’ in February and faced a heavy backlash by Twitter users.
After being fat-shamed, Jogawat had pointed out that it was due to an insulin imbalance brought about by a gall bladder operation that he was fat and not because of overeating.
Interestingly, many came forward to help Jogawat after De’s tweet.
