New Delhi : To celebrate the anniversary of 'Fit India Movement', Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a dialogue with various fitness influencers, celebrities and citizens across the nation via 'Fit India Dialogue'.

"Fitness ki dose, aadha ghanta roz," PM Modi introduced a new slogan to encourage citizens to exercise for at least half-an-hour in a day.

Among those who were a part of the Fit India Dialogue were Virat Kohli, Milind Soman, footballer Afshan Ashiq, paralympic javelin gold medallist Devendra Jhajharia, and celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar, among others.

While talking about fitness and boosting immunity he recalled how his mother used to point out that eating haldi is a beneficial. Turmeric has antioxidant properties in it.

While speaking to Diwekar, the Prime Minister also talked about his recipe for making parathas with drumsticks, which he said he still eats once or twice a week.

He also discussed fitness with India's cricket captain Virat Kohli and actor Milind Soman. (Read: PM Modi jokes with Soman over his age).
