New Delhi : Most men don’t take care of their skin and suffer from dark, dull look. Following a few skincare steps take only a few minutes from your daily busy schedule and in return you will get lasting youthful skin. After all, there is no harm in looking attractive among the many people around you.

It is necessary to rinse, tone, exfoliate, moisturise daily without fail for a younger-looking skin, suggest experts. Shubhika Jain, Founder of RAS Luxury Oils, and Megha Asher, Founder of Juicy Chemistry have come up with a must-follow skincare tips for men:

1) Do not use soap to clean your skin, as the strong chemical in soap strips your skin off of essential nutrients. Use skin exfoliation to remove the dead skin.

2) It is better to use herbal/home-made scrub can help you remove impurities and other debris that are clogged in the pores along with keeping the skin healthy.

3) Men who shave will find that their cleanser helps ensure the razor has a clean shaving surface to avoid ingrown hairs and razor burn.

4) Since men have tough and thick skin, it tends to get rough very easily. Hence, it is necessary to moisturise the skin with face oil or face serum so as to ensure proper hydration.

5) There is a myth connected with using oil on face. Most men says that oil an oily face makes it oilier. Actually it is the reverse of that. Super absorbent face oils are like elixirs and help in balancing the sebum production and controlling oil production.

6) One may use organic plant ingredients like a light aloe vera gel based moisturiser, that works best naturally by hydrating skin and protecting against the damaging, age-accelerating effects of UVA and UVB rays and seal moisture into the skin.

7) Use toners to make your skin look dewy. They also balance the oil levels in the skin. The toner can be used before and after cleansing the face.

8) Use face scrubs to exfoliate and remove dead skin cells which make the skin look dull. It helps to prepare the skin for shaving. Scrub 1-3 times a week depending on the skin type for a better looking skin.

9) Be sure to apply sunscreen as UV rays lead to accelerated skin aging and can cause skin cancer. It is important to wear a sunscreen if you step out of home in the day time.

10) Use shaving products which can protect and moisturise the skin. Harsh products can remove the skin’s natural lipids which are under pressure from shaving.
