New Delhi : On the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, a ceremony took place at his birthplace, Mhow (Madhya Pradesh), where Senior Supreme Court Advocate and National Secretary (Social Justice Department) of the Nationalist Congress Party – Sharadchandra Pawar faction, Anand S. Jondhale, received the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Janmabhoomi Award.

Mr. Jondhale attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest. The event was organized by NCP (SP), Madhya Pradesh. In his address, he highlighted Dr. Ambedkar’s lifelong fight for equality and social reform. He spoke about Babasaheb’s efforts to build an inclusive society and his focus on women’s rights. Mr. Jondhale also emphasized that the principles of equality, justice, and liberty enshrined in the Constitution continue to guide India’s democracy.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jondhale said: "This is a moment of immense pride and honour for me to receive the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Janmabhoomi Award for the year 2025. This recognition is the result of my continued efforts, and I sincerely thank the organizing institutions and the jury for this honour. The thoughts and work of Dr. Ambedkar have always been a source of inspiration for me. This award will continue to motivate me to fulfill my responsibilities towards society with greater commitment."

Mr. Jondhale also urged young people to study Dr. Ambedkar’s vision and take responsibility for building a just and equal society.

Many local residents, party workers, intellectuals, and social activists attended the event. The ceremony began with floral tributes to Dr. Ambedkar’s portrait, and attendees pledged to carry his message to every village and every home.

The event also featured cultural performances and speeches that paid tribute to Dr. Ambedkar’s life and legacy. Speakers encouraged everyone to embrace his values and continue working for social equality and justice.
