Shankaracharya Ji Maharaj to launch first poetic translation of Shri Ramcharitmanas Awadhi to Hindi-book on April 4

New Delhi : The book ‘ShriRamcharitmanas-hindi kavyanuwaad’-the first poetic translation from Awadhi to Hindi by Dr. Dheeraj Bhatnagar will be launched on April 4th, 2023 at Siri Fort Auditorium at 3:30pm by Shrimadjagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj.

This Hindi poetic translation is aimed to widen the outreach of this epic to every household.

ShriRamcharitmanas, written in Awadhi language by Goswami Tulsidas is one of the most prominent epics in Indian culture.

"As we launch the Hindi translation of Shri Ramcharitmanas, we aim to bring the epic poem to every household in today’s language, modern Hindi to make the readers meaningfully understand the Indian philosophy presented in this epic. The character of Bhagwaan Shri Ram is a symbol of the victory of truth over untruth and defines Indian values and norms of conduct in society. It is very important for the young generations of this country to understand the texts of ancient Indian epics and adapt those ideas into their lifestyle to make India a 'Vishwaguru', said, Dheeraj Bhatnagar, who has translated this book in Hindi.

The launch event will be presided over by Shri Rajnath Singh Ji, Hon’ble Union Defence Minister, Government of India. Shri Anurag Singh Thakur Ji, Hon’ble Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. Of India will be the guest of honour.The book will be blessed by eminent saints including Jagatguru Ramanandacharya Swami Shri Ramrajeshwaracharya Ji, Shri Mahant Ravindra Puri ji Maharaj (mahanirvani), Swami Jitendranath Ji Maharaj and Dandi Swami Jeetendranand Saraswati Ji.

The Hon’ble Minister of Information and Broadcasting Shri Anurag Singh Thakur will launch the audio version of Sundarkand for YouTube and social media. The music has been composed by Sanjay Kumar Jha with vocal contributions from Shri Suresh Wadkar, Pandit Anand Sharma, Mrs. Tulsi Kumar, Kapil Sharma, Sanjeevani Bhilande and many more.
