200 special trains to ferry over 1.45 lakh passengers daily from today

New Delhi : The Indian Railways announced that they are ready to resume services for 200 special trains from Monday and it will ferry more than 1.45 lakh passengers on the first day.

The administration also announced that more than 26 lakh people have booked their tickets to travel between June 1 and June 30.

These services will be in addition to Shramik Special trains and 30 Special AC trains being run since May 12.

As per prescribed guidelines, the passengers have been asked to reach the station at least 90 minutes before the time of departure of their train. Only travellers with confirmed or RAC tickets will be allowed to enter railway station and board trains, the Railways said.

According to MHA guidelines, all travellers will be compulsorily screened and only asymptomatic passengers will be allowed to enter or board a train.
