Canada PM Justin Trudeau gets nostalgic at Taj Mahal visit
New Delhi : Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tagged Taj Mahal as 'one of the most beautiful places' in the visitor's book.
"Thank you for the wonderful visit to one of the most beautiful places in the world," he wrote on the visitor's book.
This was Trudeau's second visit to the Taj Mahal and he explained why this trip is special to him.
"About 35 years ago, when I was 11 years, I came to India on an official trip with my father (former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau). I had come down to see Agra from New Delhi to see the Taj Mahal," Trudeau recalled.
"For me to be present on an official trip while bringing my kids with me to share this is really special and being able to enjoy this as a dad with my kids is really nice," he added.
During his visit to the Taj Mahal, Trudeau was accompanied with his wife Sophie Gregoire and his three children, Xavier, Ella-Grace, and Hadrien.
Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1983.
Canada PM is on a week-long state visit to India.
