New Delhi : The gates of Kedarnath Temple have been opened on Friday; Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and his wife were also present to offer prayers and witness the ceremonious opening of the Kedarnath temple gate.

More than 10,000 devotees offered their prayers on the gates opening day. A helicopter service has also been started by the Uttarakhand government to enable struggle free darshan for devotees. Those who do not wish to walk the incline can book their helicopter tickets on the official website - heliservices.uk.gov.in.

Please note, the tickets for Kedarnath temple can only be booked at the official website of Uttarakhand Government and no other website can book a ticket for the yatra.

STEPS TO BOOK KEDARNATH HELICOPTER RIDE

1: Log on to the official website - heliservices.uk.gov.in

2: Click on 'Heli Service User Registration'; fill up the asked details like name, nationality, phone number and more.

3: After the registration is done, proceed to book helicopter ride.

4: Select date, time and helipad of your choice.

HOW MUCH FEES IS FOR KEDARNATH HELICOPTER RIDE?

The helicopter services for Kedarnath are available from three helipads – Sirsi, Phata and Guptkashi.

Guptkashi – Rs 7,750

Phata – Rs 4,720

Sersi – Rs 4,680

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

For devotees, the only travel document required is the hard copy of the ticket. No digital tickets will be accepted. Carrying the same ID proof submitted during the booking is also mandatory.
