UAE's Mars Mission delayed till July 17 amid bad weather condition in Japan

New Delhi : The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has postponed the launch of its Mars Mission 'Hope' for the second time due to bad weather condition in Japan, the government communication office said.

It was scheduled to launch from Japan on Wednesday but had to postpone the launch till Friday due to bad weather condition.

According to UAE, the launch window has been extended till August 3.

Hope will begin its seven-month journey to the Red Planet. The probe is expected to enter the Mars orbit in 2021, when UAE will celebrate its 50th anniversary.
