New Delhi : At a time when America and Russia are not in a good relationship due to Ukraine war, astronauts from both the nations returned to earth on Wednesday after their trip from International Space Station (ISS).

NASA astronaut Vande Hei made a record of staying in the space for 355 days, which is the new world record. He broke the previous record of 340 days set by Scott Kelly in 2016.

A couple of hours after completing its undocking from the ISS, the capsule carrying Vande Hei, Anton Shkaplerov and Pyotr Dubrov completed its parachute-assisted landing successfully.

A set of tensions have reported between Russia and the US after invasion in Ukraine. Despite escalating tensions between the U.S. and Russia over Vladimir Putin’s war with Ukraine, Vande Hei’s return followed customary procedures. A small NASA team of doctors and other staff was on hand for the touchdown and planned to return immediately to Houston with the 55-year-old astronaut.
