New Delhi : Saturn looks immensely beautiful because of the rings it has around it. The rings are made up of solid rocks, ice and dust.

According to researchers, the rings outside Saturn are about 10 to 100 million years old and that is not a long time when it is compared to planet ages in the solar system.

If you look at the planet today, you will be mesmerized to see the rings around it; but this could not be the case after certain years.

A report suggests that the planet is losing its rings and the phenomenon has been called 'ring rain'. It has been learned that the ring matters are falling towards the planet and are getting vaporised in the environment.

According to researchers, it is estimated that around 10 tonnes of ring matters are falling every second on the planet.

NASA's Cassini Mission has estimated the destruction and it is estimated that it will take around 100 million years for the planet to lose its rings.

So, Saturn will stay beautiful till our lifetime but indeed it will lose its rings. And this makes us sad.
