On Monday, India had revoked Article 370 of the Constitution that gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir in 1954 and bifurcated the state into two Union Territories - Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.

Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana upcoming film Article 15 is a crime thriller film directed by Anubhav Sinha. The film is based on Article 15 of the Indian Constitution, which prohibits discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth.

The Supreme Court of India on September 27, decided to scrap Section 497, which deals with adultery, of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The five-judge Constitution bench, led by Chief Justice Dipak Misra and comprising Justices R F Nariman, A M Khanwilkar, D Y Chandrachud and Indu Malhotra, had reserved its verdict regarding the case in August.

The long awaited Article 370 has acquired permanent status in the constitution of India. On Tuesday, the Supreme Court said it is impossible to abrogate Article 370 conferring special status on Jammu and Kashmir, because it has acquired permanent status through years of existence. The observation came from a bench of Justices Adarsh K Goel and R F Nariman. Article 370 of the Indian constitution gives autonomous status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
