New Delhi : India is all set to play their last and the final Test match in the Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. The 4th Test match is being held at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Before the start of the game, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian PM Anthony Albanese were created with loud cheering and applause as they took a lap of honour at the stadium. India is currently leading the border Gavaskar Trophy 2-1 and would be aiming a victory in the last game to reach the World Test Championship final. 

Australian PM Anthony Albanese tweeted that "On the field, Australia and India are competing to the best in the world. Off the field, we are co-operating to build a better world."

Before the start of the game, PM Modi and Mr Albanese handed over test caps to their respective team captains - Rohit Sharma and Steve Smith. They also shook hands with the team members of the respective teams.

Australian Prime Minister Albania’s had arrived in Ahmedabad on Wednesday as a part of state visit to India. He had said that the strip demonstrates the commitment to deepen the links between the two nations.

Talking about the game, if India manages to win this Test match, they will be facing Australia again in the World Test Championship final on June 7. Australia has already qualified for the final game and are on the top spot of the World Test Championship points table.
