England’s all-rounder Zafar Ansari retires at 25

New Delhi : In a huge shock, England’s all-rounder Zafar Ansari announced retirement from all formats of cricket. Ansari, at the age of 25, played three Tests and one one-day International. Ansari, made his debut in May 2015.

According to sources, Ansari will explore his career in law.

Ansari, was the English team which tour India last year and played two Tests. In three Tests, Ansari scored 49 runs and took five wickets. His only one-day international was against Ireland in 2015.

Ansari played for Surrey in the county circuit and had a good career in cricket.

 

Ansari went to Cambridge University, where he achieved a Double First in Politics, Philosophy and Sociology in 2013. He began a Master’s degree in history at Royal Holloway, University of London, which he completed with a Distinction at the end of last year, while still playing professionally for Surrey and England.
