London : In the 30th match of the ICC World Cup 2019, Pakistan kept their hopes alive to make it to the semi-finals of the tournament, knocking South Africa out of the tournament with a 49-run win at The Lord's cricket ground in London.

Batting first, the 1992 champions scored a total of 308 runs for the loss of seven wickets. In reply, South Africa managed to score only 259 runs for the loss of nine wickets in just 50 overs.

In a total of seven played matches, the South Africa has managed only three points, resulting in no chance to score minimum points required to qualify for the semi-finals.

South Africa team was never in command of the match, be it batting or bowling; while they were bowling they failed to pick up wickets at regular intervals and while batting they lost quick wickets.
