New Delhi : The first ODI between India and Australia was played on Friday. Under the captainship of Hardik Pandya, team India won the toss and Australia to bat first. The visitors saw a dramatic collapse after they lost their 6 wickets for just 19 runs in 8 overs to get bowled out for 188 runs in 35.4 overs.

For India, Mohammad Shami took 3 wickets and gave just 17 runs. For Australia, Michelle Starc started the blow for Indian top order with in-swing bowling as India lost their 4 wickets for 39 runs. Team India was looking in big trouble as the powerplay ended, but skipper Hardik Pandya played at 20 run knock to stem out some of the bitterness in the game.

He lost his wicket when India was at 83 runs. But then came Ravindra Jadeja, who played a 45 run unbeaten Knock. He also performed with the ball as he bold 98 overs of left arm spin.  KL Rahul, on the other hand, showed a brilliant comeback in the game as he was standing strong to play the Australian bowlers.

On one hand, Australian bowlers had knocked out senior players like Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill. And at that time, Kya Rahul came in to show his experience and then take any undue risk, but at the same time scored for Team India. To explain the instance better, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja ran 56 singles between the wickets.

India went on to win the game in 39.5 overs with 5 wickets remaining in hand.

With this team India has taken a lead of 1-0 in the ODI series. India and Australia will be playing their second ODI in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. Team India will be looking forward to seal the game and take an unassailable lead in the series of 3 ODI matches. While Australia will be attempting a bounce back, and stun India with a victory.
