India vs Sri Lanka: Jasprit Bumrah ruled out of ODI series against Sri Lanka

New Delhi : Team India Pacer Jasprit Bumrah. Will not be returning to the national side in the ODI series against Sri Lanka. His name was added late to the Indian squad for ODIs, but it has now been learned that the fast bowler will not be available for the series.

According to a news report, the decision has been taken by BCCI as they do not want to take any chance or rush Bumrah’s come back into international games. The Pacer bowler was also not among the Indian cricketers who have landed in Guwahati for the first ODI on Tuesday.

You are unaware Jasprit Bumrah has been out of cricketing action since September 2022. He was also ruled out of ICC men’s T 20 World Cup 2022 do a back injury. It has also been learned that he is not playing the international games on the recommendation, particularly coming from NCS staff.

"Team India pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the upcoming 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. Bumrah, who was set to join the team in Guwahati ahead of the ODI series, will need some more time to build bowling resilience. This decision has been taken as a precautionary measure.The All-India Senior Selection Committee has not named any replacement for Jasprit Bumrah," a BCCI release stated on Monday (January 9).

It must be noted that Jasprit Bumrah has been declared fit by the NCA. But, on the last moment it was decided that he will not be playing in the ODI series against Sri Lanka.
