New Delhi : Brian Lara stadium in Trinidad saw its highest T20I first innings score of 190 runs as India handed over West Indies a defeat of 68 runs. Rohit Sharma and Dinesh Karthik remained the top scorers for men in blue.

In the last three overs, India's batting was nothing less than an assault on West Indies as 45 runs were scored in the last overs which became a turning point.

The remaining work was done by Indian spinners who got full support from the bouncy pitch. Ravichandran Ashwin (2/22 in 4 overs), Ravindra Jadeja (1/26 in 4 overs) and Ravi Bishnoi (2/26 in 4 overs) got wickets at regular intervals to restrict the hosts at 122 for eight in 20 overs.

Talking from Rahul Dravid's perspective, all strategies and changes in playing XI worked in the favour of the team.

Suryakumar Yadav (24 off 16 balls) provided an interesting option as an opener while the manner in which Arshdeep deceived a rampaging Kyle Mayers with a short delivery spoke volumes about his temperament.

With this India has taken 1-0 lead in the T20I series.
