New Delhi : Team India and Mumbai Indians star player Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the upcoming Indian Premier League and also the World Test Championship Final, which is scheduled to start on June 7th if India manages to qualify for that.

The Team India management is hoping that the pacer recovers from his back injury and returns to complete fitness before the ICC ODI World Cup, which is scheduled to be played in India in October November this year.

Mumbai Indians has not officially announced any replacement for Jasprit Bumrah for the upcoming season but it is understood that the fast bowler will be going under a surgery which will take him at least 5 months to recover and return to fitness. The National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru will also be taking a second opinion on the matter.

Jasprit Bumrah has been struggling with the injury since August 2022, due to which he had to miss multiple T20I series as well as Asia Cup. He had returned to play 2 T20Is against Australia but was later dropped due to aggravated injury. Since then, he has not played any game for Team India.

The team management had earlier planned that Bumrah will return play the last 2 Test match against Australia. But, hey is still complaining pain in his bag, due to which he has been rested for the forthcoming games.

It must be noted that injuries are not new for Bumrah. In 2019-20, he spent around 3 months away from Team India.

Well, ICC ODI World Cup is one of the crucial tournament Team India will be playing in the coming days and we hope that Jasprit Bumrah recovers in time and gets to play for the Indian side as he gives a sharp edge to the bowling of the team.
