Mahendra Singh Dhoni to captain Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2023

New Delhi : Mahendra Singh Dhoni will return as a captain of Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming Indian Premier League Edition 2023.

Last year, 2 days before the commencement of the Indian Premier League 2022, Mahendra Singh Dhoni had announced that he will not be the captain of the team; following which Ravindra Jadeja was given the responsibility. 

Under Jadeja's captaincy, the performance of Chennai Super Kings in the IPL was below average. Looks like the management is not taking any chance this time and wants Mahendra Singh Dhoni to lead the team.

At the time of IPL 2023, Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be 42-year-old, but he has always proved that age is just a number.

Since the commencement of the tournament, Mr Dhoni has taken his team to the title win for four times. Apart from winning four IPL titles, CSK under Dhoni’s captaincy also won the now defunct Champions League title twice, in 2010 and 2014 respectively.
