MS Dhoni sends special gift to Pakistan's Haris Rauf

New Delhi : Pakistani pacer Haris Rauf received a special gift from former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He took to Twitter to reveal that he has been gifted a Chennai Super Kings (CSK) number "7" jersey by Dhoni.

"The legend & capt cool @msdhoni has honored me with this beautiful gift his shirt. The "7" still winning hearts through his kind & goodwill gestures. @russcsk specially Thank you so much for kind support," Rauf tweeted on Friday alongside two pictures of the jersey.

It must be noted that Haris Rauf has never got a chance to play against MS Dhoni, even though he was a part of playing XI when two teams met in the T20 World Cup Super 12 stage. MS Dhoni was part of India's backroom staff.

Dhoni had announced his retirement from international cricket in August 2020; he will now be seen in action during the upcoming 15th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Dhoni, who was CSK's second-choice retention pick ahead of this year's mega auction, will have a salary of INR 12 crore.
