MS Dhoni sets new record in T20s, joins elite IPL list
The CSK skipper has set a record for most catches by a wicketkeeper in Twenty20s.
With three catches in the match against Kings XI Punjab, his tally went up to 144, surpassing Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara, who has 142 catches to his name.
Dhoni achieved the record playing his 291st T20 game, while Sangakkara reached the landmark after having played 264 matches.
He also holds the seventh spot in the 4000-run scoring batsmen list in the IPL. The list is headed by Virat Kohli with 4948 runs. Suresh Raina (4931), Rohit Sharma (4493), Gautam Gambhir (4217), Robin Uthappa (4081) and David Warner (4014) complete the top 7.
Under his captaincy, CSK has always managed to reach the play-offs of every single edition they have been a part of.
