Policeman assault Ravindra Jadeja's wife, probe ordered

New Delhi : A Gujarat policeman allegedly assaulted wife of Ravindra Jadeja following their vehicles' collision on Monday evening.

The Gujarat Police has started probe in the matter and have booked the cop for an alleged assault. "According to reports, Rivaba’s car collided with the bike of Constable Sanjay Ahir. After both vehicles stopped, Ahir allegedly attacked Rivaba when she stepped out of the car. She has received some injuries’’, Jamnagar Superintendent of Police Pradeep Sejul was quoted as saying.

The officer added, “The department has begun the procedure to register an FIR. As assaulting a woman is a serious crime, Ahir is likely to face departmental inquiry and suspension’’.

At the time of accident, Jadeja's wife was accompanied by his child and mother. 

India spinner Jadeja is currently with the Chennai Super Kings team, preparing for their Indian Premier League Qualifier 1 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, to be held in Mumbai on Tuesday.
