New Delhi : The legendary Indian cricketers Sachin Tendulkar has played an important role in enhancing the cricket in India. And recognising his contribution, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) is all set to install a life size statue of the legendary cricketer at the iconic Wankhede Stadium.

According to a news report. The statue will be unveiled on April 30th, the day when Master Blaster will be turning 50 year old. The honour comes exactly after a decade when Sachin Tendulkar had played his last international game at the same venue.

This is the first time when a statue will be installed inside a stadium. It has been learned that Sachin Tendulkar has also agreed to the idea of placing his statue at the Wankhede Stadium.

Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar already has a stand named after him at the Wankhede Stadium. There is also a corporate box named after former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar and a stand named after former Captain Dilip Vengsarkar.
