New Delhi : There are a lot of questions which are being raised over the hosting of Asia Cup 2023. India and Pakistan are currently in a tussle over the fixation of the venue. Initially, the hosting rights were given to Pakistan, but India raised an objection and said that they will not be sending their team to the neighbouring nation due to security concern.

Recently, there were news that the venue might be shifted to UAE, but there is no official confirmation to it so far. Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has now backed BCCI for their decision to not send Indian players to Pakistan.

In an interview to a media outlet, he claimed that any place where players security is at risk must not be considered for the game.

Recently, an emergency meeting was held in Bahrain with PCB chairman Najam Sethi and BCCI General Secretary Jay Shah, the final venue for the event will be decided by March. According to another media report, Pakistan may go on to be the host of the tournament, but the matches for India will be held at a neutral venue and if India manages to reach the final, the last match of the tournament will be held in the Middle East.
