T20 World Cup 2022: India lose to England, no India vs Pakistan final this time

New Delhi : Indian team had high hopes of winning the T20 World Cup 2022 till they faced England in the semi-final. It was expected that they would easily advance to the final and with that world will get a chance to see India vs Pakistan once again. But, nothing of that sort happened as the England team stunned Indian side and won the game by 10 wickets.

Talking about the toss, England won the toss and invited India to bat first. Since the beginning Indian players took the slow start with continuous wickets at regular intervals. A good knock by Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya saved the day for the team as they managed to reach a respectable total of 168 runs for the loss of six wickets in fixed 20 overs.

Responding to it England’s Jos Butler and Alex Hales did not give a chance to the Indian side to stay in the game and single handed took the game away from India. The openers scored 80 and 86 runs respectively to ensure their berth in the final against Pakistan.

Pakistan had beaten New Zealand in the semi final to reach the final on Thursday. England vs Pakistan final match will now be played on Sunday (November 13).
