Will Dhoni continue till World Cup 2019?

New Delhi : Captain Cool Mahendra Singh Dhoni who again surprised everyone by stepping down from captaincy of limited overs was forced to do due to lack of competitive cricket. Dhoni, did the same in 2014, when he suddenly retired from Test cricket.

Meanwhile, Dhoni will be available as a player for England’s limited overs series. The speculations are rife, Dhoni might not play till 2019 World Cup.

India’s most successful skipper will play competitive cricket after 77 days against England. There is no doubt MS Dhoni is the best wicketkeeper India has ever produced but Kholi’s Test success and sublime form is making it difficult for the finisher.

With emerging players like Ishan Kishan and Rishabh Pant, the pressure is increasing on Dhoni to finish games with flourish as he used to do during his early days. The emerging star, KL Rahul is a decent glovesman while Pant, Kishan, Naman Ojha can also come into the fray. 

The million dollar question still remains unanswered,Dhoni will play till World cup 2019.
