Delhi : The FIFA World Cup 2022 is now taking place in Qatar, and a tonne of new technology is being used in the competition, including sensor-embedded soccer balls, video assistance referees, and semi-automated offside technology. While all of this enhances the actual game, there is one more feature in the FIFA+ app called "Stadium Experience" that is intended to enhance the enjoyment of spectators.

Fans of the World Cup can find everything they need on the FIFA+ app, which was released earlier this year. Throughout the competition and beyond, the app provides at-home in-depth analysis and behind-the-scenes video. For those who choose to watch the game in person at the stadium, it also features one "Stadium Experience" option.

The FIFA+ app's Stadium Experience enhances the in-stadium experience by adding a live augmented reality overlay that displays player statistics, heatmaps, and VAR replays as they appear on television. The press announcement states that the "all-new viewing experience is created precisely to complement and improve how those in the ground celebrate and support."

The user may point their phone at the field where the game is taking place, as seen in a video posted by a spectator at the stadium. By tapping the player you wish to keep track of, an overlay that displays each player's statistics, live speed, and passes completed appears.
