New Delhi : Indian men hockey team on Thursday ended 41-year-long wait to win a medal at Olympics as they scored Bronze medal, defeating Germany 5-4 in a game at Tokyo Olympics 2020.

It was an emotional moment for both Indians and the players. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) also celebrated the stellar and historic victory by posting a dialogue from classic film Lagaan.

PIB shared a tweet in which the character of the movie can be seen screaming “Hum jeet gaye (We have won)” as the crowd cheers behind him.
