UAE allows entry of Indian travellers from today

New Delhi : In a good news entry of Indian travellers to UAE has begun from today. The National Emergency and Crisis Management Authority (NCEMA) said on Tuesday, according to Reuters, the UAE will lift a ban on transit flights including from India and Pakistan from today, i.e., August 5.

According to NCEMA, travellers from banned countries will only be allowed to transit and with a mandatory negative RT-PCR report test taken 72 hours prior to departure.

It must be noted that the travel restrictions are very much in place and Indians with a valid residency permit and are fully vaccinated will be exempted.

Other than India, the UAE will also ease Covid-related restrictions on Pakistan, Nigeria, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Uganda.

According to the latest developments, the UAE government has stated that unvaccinated people in certain job categories can seek permission to return from the same date as well.

Dubai state carrier Emirates welcomed the government’s decision to allow travel to resume from the affected countries.
