Mumbai : Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians started the Indian Premier League latest edition on April 8. RCB skipper Virat Kohli got hit by the ball under his eye as he attempted a catch in the 19th over of the game.

Kyle Jamieson had bowled a length ball and Krunal Pandya struck it straight to Kohli but the RCB skipper failed to grab the ball and copped a blow under his right eye.

In a big relief for RCB fans, Virat Kohli did not go off the field but changed his fielding position and was seen using ice pack around the area he was struck. In visuals, a bruise under his eye was clearly visible as he continued fielding for the team.

Earlier, Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bowl against Mumbai Indians. RCB managed to restrict Mumbai Indians to 159/9 and then went on to win the game by 2 wickets in the last ball decider.
