IPL: Sanjay Bangar resigns as Kings XI Punjab coach

New Delhi : India's batting coach, Sanjay Bangar has ended his ties with Kings XI Punjab. The former Indian all-rounder started off as the assistant coach for the side in 2014 before being promoted to the role of a head coach.

Under, Bangar’s guidance the franchise made it to the final of the tournament in 2014. But in last two years the team finished at the bottom of the table.  

According to sources, Bangar had an altercation with one of the co-owners of the franchise from last few days which resulted his resignation.

Axar Patel, who was last IPL's best young cricketer, went on to play for India.  According to speculations, Virender Sehwag can fill his boots as he was mentoring the side from last two years.  

 Kings XI have released former Australian tear apart Mitchell Johnson, all-rounder Rishi Dhawan and South African pacer Kyle Abbott earlier this week while they have chosen to stick with Glenn Maxwell and David Miller who were out of colour last season.
