Chennai : MS Dhoni, the captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), has achieved a significant milestone in his career by surpassing Quinton de Kock's previous record of 207 catches. He has become the leading wicket-keeper in T20 cricket with the most catches behind the stumps.

In the IPL 2023 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, MS Dhoni surpassed Quinton de Kock's record of 207 catches in T20 cricket as a wicket-keeper. Dhoni achieved this feat by catching Aiden Markram off Maheesh Theekshana's bowling. Both Dhoni and de Kock were tied with 207 catches before this match, but with Markram's dismissal, Dhoni has taken the lead in this race.

Dinesh Karthik, the wicket-keeper of Royal Challengers Bangalore, is right behind MS Dhoni and Quinton De Kock with 205 catches in T20 cricket. He has become the third wicket-keeper to have more than 200 catches in this format.

Chennai Super Kings scored the victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad on a slow and gripping pitch at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, with Devon Conway scoring his third consecutive half-century. Ravindra Jadeja played a crucial role in stopping Sunrisers' momentum after a strong start by taking three wickets. He was supported by Maheesh Theekshana as they combined to bowl eight overs and concede only 4 for 49 runs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad had given a decent run chase of 135 runs to Chennai Super Kings, who managed to reach it with eight balls and seven wickets remaining.
