Sydney : Australian cricketer Aaron Finch has announced retirement from the international ODIs after the last match against New Zealand in the ongoing series. He will continue to captain the T20I side and will play the upcoming World Cup.

"It's been one hell of a ride! To play with and against some of the greatest players of all time has been a privilege. Representing Australia was my dream as a kid and to have been the opportunities I have is beyond anything I could’ve hoped for. Thanks so much for all of the kind words, messages and well wishes! 🙌🏼," Aaron Finch wrote on his official Instagram page.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli also reacted to his post and wished him for the next phase of life. "Well done finchy. It was great to play against you all these years and with you as well at rcb. Enjoy the next phase of your life to the fullest 👍🙌," he wrote.

He will now be aiming to save T20 World Cup title for his team before moving out of T20I as well.
