New Delhi : Delhi Police on Tuesday announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh to the person who gives information about whereabouts of wrestler Sushil Kumar, who is alleged of murdering a former junior national wrestling champion Sagar Rana outside the parking lot of Chhatrasal stadium in New Delhi.

Sushil Kumar is on the run from past two weeks. A reward of Rs 50,000 has also been announced for Ajay, who is also on the run in the same case.

Earlier, Delhi High Court had issued a non-bailable warrant against the accused in the murder case of 23-year-old Sagar Rana at Chhatrasal Stadium.

The brawl incident was reported on May 4, following which the wrestlers had to be admitted at the hospital; one of them died during the treatment.

However, wrestler Sushil on May 5 had denied the allegation saying that his wrestlers were not involved in the fight that took place inside Chhatrasal Stadium.

Wrestler Sushil is seen as one of the most successful athletes in the country as he won a silver medal in the 2012 London Olympics, and four years earlier, he had taken home a bronze medal in Beijing Olympics.
