World's Cheapest Laptop? Mukesh Ambani to launch JioBook for Rs. 15,000 'Cloud' Laptop Soon
Delhi : Mukesh Ambani has already completely changed the Indian smartphone industry by providing affordable handsets and internet access. Mukesh Ambani, the richest person in India, is aiming for an annual income potential of Rs 70,000 crore. In order to get closer to that goal, the billionaire Mukesh Ambani may soon introduce a laptop in India for Rs 15,000. Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Jio intends to release a laptop shortly for Rs 15000, which will significantly lower the cost of ownership. In order to release the gadget in the upcoming months, the officials have already begun negotiations with laptop makers such as HP, Acer, Lenovo, and others.
This implies that Jio Cloud, a cloud computing service provided by Reliance Jio, would handle the laptop's processing and storage. Mukesh Ambani will be able to reach out to educational institutions and first-time laptop customers thanks to this, which will enable people to access computers at a significantly reduced cost. Jio Cloud is available as a subscription service, with the ability to access numerous subscriptions on a single laptop. The company has reportedly already begun testing the same product on HP Chromebooks.
With the introduction of the JioBook, Jio made it quite evident that it intended to enter the market, even if it hasn't formally revealed any details about the new laptop yet. Reliance JioBook, priced at Rs 16,499, comes pre-configured with JioOS. It has a MediaTek CPU that powers it, along with 4GB of RAM and expandable 64GB of storage. Along with the laptop, purchasers will also receive a free 100GB cloud storage account from the firm. JioBook has an HD 11.6-inch screen. The JioBook weighs only 990 grams and is available in Grey and Blue.
