Apple iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus: launched with Type-C support, check availability and price
Delhi : During Apple's 'Wonderlust' launch event on Tuesday, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus were introduced to the world. Both phones have several noticeable hardware improvements over the iPhone models from the previous year. These include the 48-megapixel primary camera, Dynamic Island, and the company's A16 Bionic chipset, all of which were included on the Pro models from the previous year. All of Apple's iPhone models this year use a USB Type-C connection, making them the first smartphones to ship without the company's exclusive Lightning charging port.
Features of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus revealed in Wonderlust
With a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display and Ceramic Shield material for added protection, the iPhone 15 is a dual SIM (Nano) smartphone. The Dynamic Island, which was first featured on the iPhone 14 Pro models last year, has also been added by Apple to the iPhone 15 this year. The handset features an IP68 classification for dust and water protection, and the display has a maximum brightness of 2000 nits. The 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display on the iPhone 15 Plus is larger.
48MP camera specifications of IPhone 15 series
The main camera of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models is a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera with a 2um quad pixel sensor and an f/1.6 aperture, unlike the device from previous year. Additionally, the smartphone has a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera with sensor shift stabilization and an f/1.6 aperture. On the front of the device, in the new camera island, there is a 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera for selfies and video calls.
USB Type-C port: New features of IPhone 15 series
The devices are the first Apple phones that have a USB Type-C port instead of the company's exclusive Lightning connector. The A16 Bionic technology, which powered Apple's iPhone 14 Pro models last year, is found in the new iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. Price and availability of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus
The starting price for the iPhone 15 in India is Rs. 79,900, while the starting price for the iPhone 15 Plus is Rs. 89,900 for the base 128GB model. According to the firm, both phones will come in Black, Blue, Green, Pink, and Yellow color options. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus go on sale on September 22, although pre-orders for the devices start on September 15. The phones will have storage options of up to 512GB.
