Apple set to launch iPhone 15, bigger hole in pockets likely with iPhone 15 Pro Max
New Delhi : In anticipation of Apple's highly awaited next-generation iPhone lineup, rumors have been swirling about the features and pricing of the upcoming devices. A recent report by renowned Apple analyst Jeff Pu, as cited by MacRumours, suggests that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be pricier than its predecessor, the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
While Apple is yet to officially announce details about its new iPhone models, speculation has been mounting across the internet. Pu's report sheds light on the pricing of the forthcoming iPhones, particularly focusing on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. According to Pu, both the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max are projected to see a price increase compared to their previous versions, surpassing the $1,099 starting price of the current iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Apart from the higher price point, one significant distinction is expected between the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the 6.1-inch iPhone 15 Pro. Pu reveals that the iPhone 15 Pro Max is anticipated to feature a periscope lens, providing a substantial improvement in optical zoom capabilities. While both Pro models will sport telephoto lenses in their triple camera setup, the periscope lens in the iPhone 15 Pro Max is predicted to offer a 5x to 6x optical zoom, surpassing the 3x zoom of its predecessor, the iPhone 14 Pro models.
In addition to the camera enhancements, reports suggest that the iPhone 15 series will receive larger batteries compared to the previous iPhone 14 series. The iPhone 15 is rumored to house a 3,877mAh battery, while the iPhone 15 Plus is expected to sport a 4,912mAh battery. Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro is projected to pack a 3,650mAh battery, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max may boast a 4,852mAh battery. Comparatively, the iPhone 14 models featured batteries with capacities of 3,279mAh, 4,325mAh, 3,200mAh, and 4,323mAh, respectively. It's worth noting that Apple typically does not disclose the exact battery capacity of its iPhones.
Moreover, industry sources indicate that the iPhone 15 series is scheduled to enter mass production in August 2023. It is estimated that approximately 84 million units will be manufactured for the second half of the year. All four iPhone 15 models are expected to come equipped with a USB-C port, Dynamic Island (a feature introduced with the iPhone 14 series), and a slightly more curved frame, among other notable features.
