Price hike alert: Apple's iPhone 15 Pro Max to come with increased price tag
Delhi : Analyst Jeff Pu from Haitong International Tech Research claims that the larger iPhone 15 Pro Max will have a considerable price hike because of increased manufacturing costs as anticipation for Apple's upcoming iPhone 15 series grows. The eagerly awaited gadgets are scheduled for release in September, with mass production set to begin in August with a goal of over 84 million units.
Apple's current top-tier product in the US is the iPhone 14 Pro Max base model, which costs $1,099 before taxes. In India, the cost of the comparable model is Rs 1,39,900. According to reports, the increased cost of the iPhone 15 Pro Max reflects the more sophisticated features and capabilities it offers in comparison to its predecessor.
The cost of producing the iPhone 15 series has increased by 12%, which has increased the price. The larger iPhone 15 Pro Max is speculated to offer more exclusive features to justify the higher price tag, in contrast to the iPhone 14 Pro, where the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch variants featured similar features aside from the battery and display.
A periscope zoom lens, a first for the iPhone, which will allow up to 6x optical zoom, is one noteworthy innovation anticipated for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The device is also said to have three stackable sensors, which would improve the quality of the images and videos. Future iPhone 16 models, according to the analyst, may use a new "metalens" technology within the proximity sensor, which would make the Face ID hardware smaller. A Wi-Fi 7 network modem is also rumoured to be included in the iPhone 16.
