Nokia dead, Windows Phone dead, long live Lumia

• As per report in The Verge, Microsoft is now planning to axe brand Nokia name from its phones
• The new name expected of the Washington firm is Microsoft Lumia
• Both names Nokia and Windows phone are assumed to be dropped
• If this happens, nearly three decades old Nokia phones will come to an end
• It’s still not clear that change will be imposed on new launches or the existing phones too
• Microsoft had bought Nokia for 7.2 bn dollars in April
• The Finnish firm Nokia will live on as a separate company, though, focusing on mapping and network infrastructure.
