OnePlus 6T smartphone is coming soon: Expected price, color, specification

New Delhi : The Shenzhen-based Chinese smartphone manufacturer is ready to launch a new handset in the OnePlus series. The new flagship smartphone will come sooner than expected. The company has announced the device name as OnePlus 6T through a dedicated section on Amazon India's website.

OnePlus 6T has been endorsed by the company's brand ambassador, Amitabh Bachchan. A glimpse of the handset was aired during the India Pakistan Asia Cup 2018 match. Now, through the Amazon India banner, OnePlus 6T has been confirmed to be exclusive to the e-commerce website, just like its previously launched mobile phones.

Features of OnePlus 6T 

New in-display fingerprint sensor will be one of the highlights of OnePlus 6T. The feature was confirmed by the company chief Pete Lau. In a letter to CNET, Lau wrote, "We unlock our phones multiple times a day, and Screen Unlock reduces the number of steps to complete the action. By adding this feature as an addition to other display unlocking options such as Face Unlock, users will have options to unlock the display in a way that is most efficient for them."

The OnePlus 6T will also come with a water drop notch on top. In terms of design, the resulting phone will have a much higher screen to body ratio. It will be interesting to see how OnePlus will implement the face ID feature. The Vivo V11 Pro has managed to squeeze in an infrared sensor in the extremely narrow bezel on top. 

It is expected that OnePlus 6T might feature the same technology to unlock the phone in dark. In case of OnePlus 6T price, the exact figure has not been revealed. We may soon come up with the price details before the launch of the device in October.
