Oppo MediaTek Magic: Oppo A2 Launch with Dimensity 6020, endurance of 5,000mAh battery
The brand's newest low-cost smartphone, the Oppo A2, was introduced in China. The MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC, which has 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage, powers the new Oppo A-series smartphone. The Oppo A2 boasts a 50-megapixel dual camera configuration at the back and a 6.72-inch LTPS LCD screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The phone is equipped with an IP54 dust- and splash-resistant rating and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W rapid charging.
Specifications of the Oppo A2
A 6.72-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixels) LTPS LCD screen with a maximum refresh rate of 90Hz, 391 ppi pixel density, peak brightness of 680 nits, and a screen-to-body ratio of 91.4 is featured on the dual SIM (Nano) Oppo A2. The display has a maximum touch sampling rate of 180Hz. It has an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC, 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and a Mali-G57 MC2 graphics processor. It is possible to increase the onboard memory up to 24GB by utilising the virtual RAM capability. The phone has 512GB of UFS2.2 storage built in.
The Oppo A2 features two cameras on its back panel: a 2-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 aperture lens and a 50-megapixel main camera with a 77-degree field of view. An f/2.0 aperture lens on the 8-megapixel front-facing camera is available for taking selfies and video chats.
The Oppo A2 has the following connectivity options: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB 2.0, GPS, A-GPS, a 3.5mm audio connector, and a USB Type-C port. There are several sensors on board, such as a proximity, geomagnetic, ambient light, accelerometer, and gravity sensor. It supports face unlock and features a fingerprint sensor located on the side for authentication. Additionally, the phone has an IP54 certification.
A 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W SuperVOOC rapid charging powers the Oppo A2. It weights 193 grammes and has dimensions of 165.6x76x7.9 mm.
Cost and Availability of Oppo A2
CNY 1,699, or about Rs. 16,500, is the price of the Oppo A2's basic 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option. The most expensive variant, which comes with 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM, costs CNY 1,799, or around Rs. 20,000. Ice Crystal Violet, Jinghai Black, and Qingbo Emerald—the Chinese name for the color—are the current colour options that can be purchased in China through the Oppo shop.
Cost and Availability is not yet known of Oppo A2 would be available for Indian market.
