Redmi Go, first Android Go smartphone to launch on March 19: Check price, specifications

New Delhi : Market leader Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi has announced that the company will launch its first Android Go smartphone, the Redmi Go on March 19. The smartphone will be available worldwide and will make its debut in India, very soon.

The Redmi Go will be launched in India on March 19. The company has designed an event page on its website which indicates the countdown of the launch. The official page reveals that this sleek Android smartphone will come with 20+ regional languages, dedicated expandable storage, and Google Assistant in Hindi.

Redmi Go specifications

The Redmi Go is powered by Snapdragon 425 which is paired with 1 GB RAM. It runs Android Oreo (Go Edition) and has 8 GB of onboard storage. The smartphone sports a 5-inch HD LCD on the front along with an 8 MP camera at the back. It has a 3,000 mAh battery which is decent enough considering its display size and resolution.

Redmi Go will be based on Android, and supports storage expansion. The Redmi Go is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards.

Connectivity options on the Redmi Go will include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.20, Micro-USB, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include accelerometer and proximity sensor.
