New Delhi : Samsung Electronics Co Ltd has inaugurated its biggest mobile store in the world in Bengaluru. It is believed to be an attempt to take position in the world's second-biggest smartphone market and to beat the competition from Chinese brands.

The world's biggest Samsung store in Bengaluru covers an area of roughly 33,000 square foot (3,000 square metre) store in the southern tech hub of the city. Sources confirmed that the invitees of South Korean tech giant had great mobile experience at iconic Opera House in the city.

The new mobile store of Samsung will feature devices but also showcase its consumer electronics products and latest innovations. 

It will also house a service centre for phones. It is said that the Samsung has spent huge money to lease out the property.

Talking to media, Samsung CEO says, Samsung runs 2,100 stores in India through franchise partners and is facing off against a host of Chinese brands introduced by Xiaomi Corp

During the inauguration of Samsung Opera House, the company has showed interest to become savvier with online marketing -- launching devices aimed at millennials, seeking to reinvent itself as a 'younger brand' and finding a new love for cricket with a sponsorship deal.

Samsung also wants to create the centre as a meeting point for startups and venture capitalists.
