Delhi : Pova 5 Pro 5G and Pova 5 5G, the newest smartphones from Tecno, have been released, and we had the chance to test out the Pro model. The Pova 5 Pro 5G has a glass sandwich construction and a back that features patterns reminiscent of cyberpunk that are visible through the glass. The smartphone is available in Silver Fantasy and Dark Illusion, the latter of which we currently own. The phone will be available starting on August 22 for a starting price of Rs. 14,999.

The phone can quickly get untidy due to the glass back and chrome side rails, which attract a lot of fingerprints. The volume buttons are on the right, the SIM slot is on the left, and the power key has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the bottom are the headphone jack, microphone, speaker grille, and USB Type-C charging port. We have a second speaker grille on the top.

A 6.78-inch 120Hz full-HD+ LCD screen is included on the Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G. In my little experience with the phone, the display becomes bright enough for usage inside but is difficult to read when used outside throughout the day. It is pretty crisp and does produce nice colors. A more fluid user experience is also made possible by the 120Hz refresh rate.

The MediaTek Dimensity 6080 5G SoC that powers the phone easily handles most tasks, and games typically run smoothly at their recommended settings. Both of the Pova 5 Pro 5G's options, with 128GB or 256GB of storage and the same 8GB of RAM, are offered. The smartphone has a 50-megapixel main rear camera that looks to take decent pictures in both ideal and less-than-ideal lighting conditions. For a smartphone in this market, it can record videos at up to 2K 30fps and 1080p 60fps, which is not terrible. A second AI camera is present as well, but it lacks an ultra-wide lens.

The 16-megapixel front camera also takes high-quality pictures in both natural and artificial lighting conditions. Additionally, the post-processing is not overly aggressive. The colors are vibrant, and the pictures appear to be pretty sharp. A 5,000mAh battery is included with the Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G, which should last for one day on a single charge. In my experience, the phone comfortably lasted an entire day as I used it to browse social media, take pictures, play light video games, and take calls. A 68W rapid charger is included in the box, which is undoubtedly advantageous.

The bright LEDs behind the back panel, referred to by Tecno as the Arc Interface, are the Pova 5 Pro 5G's key selling point. When you charge the gadget, turn it on, get notifications, or even listen to music, they light up in various colors. In a room with enough lighting, the LED lights are visible; however, in direct sunlight outside, they are hardly perceptible. The specialized menu allows you to adjust the light's flashing rate, however the choices are rather restricted.
