Xiaomi Redmi K30 5G to launch in December, confirms CEO Lei Jun

New Delhi : One after another Xiaomi is launching a series of new smart phones and latest to join the league is Redmi K30 5G. The device that supports 5G services will be release in December this year, confirmed Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun.

A previous report also suggested an arrival of the Redmi K30 Pro variant, and this variant is expected to launch sometime in 2020.

According to media report by China's media Anzhuo, Jun has confirmed the launch of Redmi K30 5G at the Xiaomi Developers Conference. It is still not known if the device will be launched in India too as initially it is speculated that the launch will be limited to China only.

Some reports have claimed that the launch was supposed to get delayed till next year. However, it looks possible that the phone will be unveiled this year and its availability will stretch till next year.

When Weibing suggested a Redmi K30 5G launch delay, he claimed that Xiaomi needs to overcome a series of technical difficulties in the early 5G era. He said that in order to provide the best quality 5G terminal to Redmi phones, all glitches need to be ironed out.

The Redmi K30 5G series is teased to come with support for 5G standalone and non-standalone (SA/NSA) sub-6GHz networks. The phone is also teased to sport a dual hole-punch display, and a 4G variant is also expected to launch alongside.
